"So, sometimes the harder you have to work for the fish, the sweeter it is when you get em."9/10/2017 "Despite what the pics show, this was one of the most difficult weeks of muskie fishing I can remember. Mike Tengwall and myself put 17 in the boat the same week last year. This year we were hoping to top that. It instead became challenge due to the extreme weather. Our first challenge was the water clarity. We could not find clear water anywhere. We just weren't seeing the fish where they normally were. Sunday, we had zero wind which made it difficult. Wind helps concentrate the fish. Monday, we had wind up to 46 mph. This made casting almost impossible. Tuesday was better with only a 20mph wind. Wednesday was supposed to be light south wind turned into 15 -20 mph NE. Needless to say, we worked very hard for the fish we caught. Mike had 5 other muskies on that got off and I lost 1. We were so beat up from the weather that by Friday we decided to focus on crappies. We got into some nice ones and with only about 3 hours of casting for muskies, we boated 3. So, sometimes the harder you have to work for the fish, the sweeter it is when you get em. That's how the week was. 😵" - Eric Guddal (Crappie 16", muskies from left to right....46.5, 46.75, 45.75, 45, 43)
