We never had to travel too far to get on fish and had enough action to keep the kids entertained. The big fish that got away was a muskie that grabbed onto a 16" walleye that was being reeled in, gave a good fight for about 10 minutes before letting go and leaving us with a walleye with some battle scars. We enjoy staying on the island and Sunset Lodge has everything we could ask for! Thanks, Ryan Wetlaufer Sam, Cale and Travis were all great to work with. We have been coming to the Angle for 12 years now and this was the best service we have had at the docks and in the lodge. We had breakfast and burgers in the lodge and the food was excellent. A very good trip and caught lots of fish. My 11 year old son caught a very nice 27” up in Canada that looks much bigger in front of his skinny little frame. We also picked up a nice 14” crappie.
