"Our mom/kids time was absolutely perfect. We had many smiles, laughs, sibling fun, and I couldn’t be happier!! Madeline caught her “big fish” at 43” and got lucky with 2 more at 31.5 and 37! I got my best at 41”! Being together was the best. We just love our time at Sunset!!" Anna B

Spring weather has arrived! We have lots of people calling about current conditions so here’s an update:
Conditions change rapidly throughout the day. After the warm weather our runway is VERY rough, our main runway running East/West was groomed after the cold but it needs some sunshine to even it out. The road running NE/SW was lost so please DO NOT plan to use that as a runway as it had high banks and is flooded! Morning cold temperatures are ideal for ATVs and Side by sides but it does get sloppy with the afternoon sun so plan accordingly. Snowmobiles are moving around the area just fine. Scratchers highly encouraged. Ice road is still in great shape! Please be respectful of all trails and roads, keep travel to morning and evening when possible. We plan to be open into April, we are still taking reservations for late ice! Saturday, March 21st 9am - 3pm Everyone welcome. Pilots eat free! The crappies cooperated nicely, we had a 9-man limit in about 2 hours. The Tuned Up Custom Rods QT2 whollopped some slabs, and this rod is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the lineup. Mid-day, we huddled up around the The Meat Shop, LLC pulled pork before settling in for the evening walleye bite. I had a couple of otters sunning themselves and wrestling around on the ice, and this evening’s sunset was absolutely stunning." - Brandon S "Always love our visit to Sunset!
