 These premium January fishing dates don't come around often. If you're able to get up to us without much notice we'd love to see you! All fish houses are out! 12-18 inches of ice, some spots less off of staked trail. Lots of mid size slot fish, and nice keeper walleye coming through our ice holes. Jigging and deadstick were equally effective. Sauger have been cooperating as well with some jumbo perch mixed in. Snowmobile trail and ice road come directly to us from Young’s Bay, look for our signs! Cheers It’s a winter wonderland! 2+ of snow yesterday was a welcome sight. We are building ice with these colder temps but Ice Road travel is still restricted to light vehicles and side x sides. Runway is freshly groomed. Low pressure on the lake has lead to fantastic fishing on both sides of the border. Our Minnesota houses are sitting on 12-15 inches of the best ice on the lake! Hot bite is during golden hour. More walleye than sauger. Crappies of all size are biting like crazy, good action during the day.
