"The Canadian walleye opener was on May 16th! We caught fish in 18 to 20 feet of water on Saturday. Since the water was flat and calm, we used 1/4 ounce jigs and also pulled spinners with a crawler. On Sunday, a cold front pushed the fish to deeper water, about 25 to 30 feet. With the rough water, we had to fish the current using 3/8 ounce jigs. The crappies still had eggs and were found at 28 to 32 feet. Fish were found in fall type spots (off island points and in currents)." Dan Schmidt
