Walleye fishing has been great! Large fish have been caught recently in many different depths between 3-35’ with a variety of methods including jig minnow, spinners, crank baits and bobber set ups. With temperatures above normal, water temperatures have followed into mid to high 60’s. We just experienced our first May Fly hatch of the season which has not shut down the bite but altered it to a suspended bite. Typically, bottom bouncers and spinners with a crawler is most productive post hatch. Pike have recently started moving into weedy bays where growth has begun. The occasional accidental musky has been caught but the season begins NEXT WEEKEND!
