Here is our weekly fishing report: http://www.sunsetlodgeresort.com/fishing-reports Up at the NW Angle, we have the best walleye fishing of the year right now! Our water temperature has dropped to 60 degrees. The emerald shiners running. This is our fall pattern, deep holes near funnels going back into bays. All of our groups got their limits in no time at all! On the Minnesota side, the best spots were down at Northwest Point by Garden Island and Little Oak Island. On the Ontario side, Johnson's Passage in a deep hole - that whole area is loaded with fish, you just can't beat it. All you can catch! Forrest Huset said as far as muskies go - he is trolling 12-16 feet for them and having good luck! Walleyes are in the deeper holes that have current around them now. Biggest fish reported: 26" walleye with most over 20", several 22's, 23's; 15" crappie; 12" perch; 50" muskie; a 19" smallmouth bass and 3, 18 inchers! If you're fishing the mud and you come in shallower you'll catch smallmouth bass. Eagles are really grouping up for their fall migration, we saw quite a few while out fishing this week. We got to watch an eagle diving down to catch a fish - he was able to grab it before it swam away. Fun to watch! If you are able to sneak away and visit us this fall, give us a call at 218-223-8211. Until next week, good fishing! Dan Schmidt
