“Trophy Lodge” Staff that treat you like family. Guides put me on a 31 inch trophy walleye ice fishing. They take you to and from a heated ice house in a heated bombardier, drill the holes and clean the fish. All you have to do is catch the fish. I will be back!

The crew at Sunset in the lodge, the bomber drivers, the whole group were excellent. Nice place to come and relax and get some good fishing in. My wife and I both caught our limit of nice Walleye so we were happy!
 
"Best on the Lake of the Woods” Staff is great. Food is amazing! Well kept and great fishing. Love the lodge. They will do anything they can to make your stay the best it can be! Fishing is much better than the south end and less pressure on the Walleyes.
 
Spent a quick two days at Sunset. Couldn't get there until noon the first day but Samantha had no problem getting me into a fish house. Room was very clean and comfortable. My second day was spent in Canada fishing. I was a little anxious about going in and out of Canada, but again, the staff explained everything to me and even drove me out to the guide. I would definitely go back and plan on it. If you’re looking for a nice clean place to stay with a helpful staff and a beautiful bar/lounge to relax in, give Sunset a try.

Everyone was very friendly and made us feel welcome. Food was great. Fishing was great!

Great trip!  We thought the fish you cooked was some of the best we'd ever had, great new cook.  Staff treated us like family.
 
Just got back from the NW Angle, stayed and Sunset Lodge on Oak Island and it was awesome. 4 nights, 3 days of great fun and fishing. They take you out from the warm lodge in a warm bomber to your warm ice shack. and the fishing begins. Every day provided limits with some extra bonuses of perch, tullibee, and sauger. The 2nd day my buddy landed a fish of a lifetime. A 31" 11lb monster walleye. Guides on there day off came out to look at it. They said it was the biggest they seen in a year. I was lucky enough to be the net man on that pig, hopefully next time I can beat the size of that one.

Once again thank you for your excellent accommodations for my group this past week...it's always a pleasure to come up there and visit with you and take a little time to go fishing as well. Thanks again you guys are the best.

Had a very good trip friendly staff and awesome food. Will be going back and would recommend to anyone. It's nice to be able to fish somewhere other then the south side of the lake. The lodging was perfect for the group we had there were 8 of us and everyone was comfortable.

"Lodge was great. Staff was great.  They were interactive, friendly and informative.  The bartender was fun.  Meals - Food was overall real tasty.  Best walleye preparation I've had.  Fish Houses - Very clean, well maintained and comfortable.  Outhouse was close enough and kept heated.  This was a real perk.  Lastly,  With the snowfall and drifting, I was the SUV that needed pulling out 3 times to get off the ice.  I cannot express my appreciation enough for the crew that helped get us to Young's Bay and off the ice.  Although I had 4 wheel drive, my lower profile SUV was no match for the high drifts.  The men that helped hook me up, pull me out and clear a better path for me was what will bring me back again. Customer service was above and beyond.  Thanks for the great trip."

"The quality and numbers of fish that we caught were very good compared to the south end of the lake where we have been going to in the past.  Your guides were excellent with checking in often to make sure everything was going ok and there were no problems.  The staff was excellent at every turn.  Very helpful and personable.  The atmosphere in the lodge is excellent also.  And the store is very well stocked with good quality tackle and items that might be needed while there."

"For our first stay at Sunset it exceeded our expectations. The lodging was very comfortable. Thanks for putting us in #8. Nice to have the extra room. Little things like the heating system, having individual thermostats for each room, TV with more than 2 channels, clean and comfortable furniture including beds. The food was excellent. Your staff prepared a fish meal for us and it was outstanding. Yours was hands down superior. Wings, chicken quesadillas and tots were also excellent. Your staff was courteous and helpful. The guides pointed us in a direction for fishing that proved to work out great. Looking forward to more memories at Sunset."
 
"We had yet another amazing stay at Sunset Lodge over New Year’s.  Everyone is so nice and inviting at the resort!  It is and will remain our lodge of choice for upcoming trips!  The cabins were great, warm, spacious and clean....... all staff were very friendly, helpful and fun to be around......... reservations were super easy to book and they accommodated me as far as allowing the different couples in our group call and pay their own deposit rather than making me pay for it all..... the lodge is simply BEAUTIFUL...... fishing was great as always..........we have stayed at numerous resorts along both the north and the south end of LOTWs and your lodge will always be our number one resort!  THANK YOU again for everything!
