The North Star group visited the first weekend of January. We had a great time fishing! Everyone at the resort worked hard to make our stay one to remember. The food was very good and the beer was cold. We're planning another trip for next year.

We are having an absolute fabulous time here at Sunset Lodge!! The fishing is great, the lodging is spectacular, and the food is Excellent!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys the outdoors, loves to fish, and wants to have a great adventure!!

We took a trip up to Sunset Lodge on Jan. 25th 2014 for the first time up in that area. The fishing was excellent, I have never had to release that many walleyes in the 17 to 19 inch range in any trip to lake of the woods. It was definitely a fisherman's dream come true for my partner and I. My hats off to the two guys out there Doug (the barber) and Shane (wiggles) for an outstanding adventure on the ice. They kept us supplied with bait, and we did go thru alot the way they were biting. Doug was good enough to let us in on some of his hot spots and secret spots of his for some great fishing for walleye and northern pike. I would recommend this resort to anyone that wants a great adventure up in the wilds of Lake Of The Woods. We did the sleeper house and had some great fish fry's out on the ice. Would I do it again? You bet we would, we are making plans soon for another trip this march for some late walleye and northern pike action that will be picking up for the pre-spawn appetite of those big gators....... See ya there!

Today, my 17 year old son Jacob Jorgenson caught his personal best walleye. It was 26.5 inches long!!! What an amazing day for him and all of us who were here to share it with him!! Thank you Sunset Lodge for the Great memories!!
