The entire stay was amazing! The condo was very clean and comfortable.  The lodge is beautiful inside and out.  The staff was all very nice and easy to chat with.  Chelsea (I think) was always greeting us with a smile and was quick on the beer refills...which is a very important skill. The meals were all very good.  Good portions for weary fisherman/women.  The Super Bowl nacho bar was a very fun treat as well. The ice guys were all very nice as well.  They all seemed knowledgeable about the lake and had some good ideas for techniques.  Jake was a real good guy.  He moved us from house to house when they were available to keep us on the fish. When my fish finder battery crapped out on me he let me use his personal one which saved the day. The crappie trip was a great success as well.  Overall this was the best fishing trip of my life and we are already looking at dates for next winter.   Thanks again for being such great hosts.
 
Food was real good, service was good. Prime rib was awesome, salmon was awesome. The guys really liked that. Breakfasts were good.
 
We had a great time again this year.  Our guide was exceptional (Cody?), and would recommend you keep him coming back if possible.  Can’t say enough about him… We had a great time and enjoyed being at Sunset once again.

This was a great spur of the moment trip.  We iced 43 walleyes and sauger.  We will be back!  Oh by the way we had fish both nights, and it was top notch! Thanks again

Trip went awesome as always.  Fishing was good and the weather was much better than last time. I enjoy spending time with everyone there.

The trip was good, fishing was slow but we still had a good time. The young guys driving the bombers were very friendly and were doing everything they could to try to get people on fish.  Big plus!
We liked the condo and the bar.  Two bathroom in the condo was awesome!  We are coming back next year and looking forward to catching a few more fish than this year.  Thanks for having us!
 
Everybody was very friendly, we came on snowmobile and I could not have been more pleased with our treatment. We were there last year in condo this year a cabin and loved the cabin. We are making plans for next year and you will be our first choice!

I would also like to point out that the "Bomber Boys"  worked hard to put us on fish and checked in with us periodically throughout the day,  even asking us if we wanted to move to different houses if we wanted to try different spots.  I will definitely be coming back to Sunset Lodge!!!! PS The main lodge & bar was spectacular and the live band was an extra bonus to an already great weekend!
 
It's all good.  I wish I could go every weekend. Staff were great. Even the bartender was 'good'. That's a joke. We really liked Dan.
 
We had a great time as usual at Sunset.  Fishing was great walleye, crappie, one 1 bonus 20 pound pike.  If the ice holds out I hope to return late March.  Thanks again for the great accommodations!

We had a great time; this was our second year there. Condo #9 was nice and warm. It was great for us older folks to be able to park our truck by the Condo and not have to carry our gear up and down each day on a sometimes slippery hill.  We were happy with our stay and feel the staff was very friendly and helpful.
 
We had a blast! Everyone was so incredibly accommodating, friendly, welcoming, etc. We truly had a fantastic time. Nothing but praise on all accounts.
 
We had an excellent stay at your resort! Every single staff member was very kind, friendly and made our stay wonderful!! All of the meals were cooked to perfection! We cannot wait to come back!!! Thanks for the wonderful time!!
 
Our company uses this resort a lot during the year for customers and I’ve had the privilege of attending before during the fall season. This time I came up personally with my wife and neighbors, Kristen & Aaron. Aaron loves ice fishing the rest of us were kind of a long for the trip. We did have a great time, the staff was great as usual! Fish houses were nice. Overall, the trip was great the wives enjoyed their time up there and we are talking about making a trip again in the fall. Please thank everyone at Sunset for making it a great trip!

We did have a great time at the Angle and at Sunset Lodge. The staff was very attentive and did an excellent job.  Our dinner on Saturday night was outstanding, the steaks were seasoned like I do at home…very good! It was fun to have a live band and that made the evening even more fun. The room was clean and beds were comfortable.
 
We had a wonderful time !! We absolutely come back. We had wonderful time and will come back as soon as time allows and right now that will likely be summer. Thanks and God bless.

The trip was awesome. My wife and I have nothing but good things to say about Sunset Lodge (this was our first time at the Resort). The food was fabulous and overall couldn’t ask for better service from the staff at the lodge. The fish houses were warm and the guides were personable and willing to move us if we were not catching fish. My wife and I are already looking forward to an ice fishing trip with you guys next year.

Just wanted to say thanks for a great trip all the guys really enjoyed it.  Also want to say that the staff was “Top Notch”  from the gals in the lodge to the guys running the fishing they were all great.   Any questions we had or something we might of needed they were always there to help.  Look forward to a return trip in 2018.
 
Everything was good!! Fishing a little slow on the MN side, but Canada was good.

We definitely had a great time while visiting the crew at Sunset Lodge.  Everyone is always so friendly and treated us as royalty,  Chris Your cook actually does fish quite a bit and was very helpful on giving us some tips where to fish and try for crappies and walleye.  Alex was knowledgeable too of where to go.  I like both those guys and there cooking as well.  Fun to see everyone again. We stayed in condo #1 and that room worked great for us. Take care and thanks for everything.
 
Finally made it up to Sunset Lodge to fish the Crappies we have been hearing about. Had a great trip and did find the crappies. We did have time to find the Walleyes too. Great staff up there and willing to share some tips on where to find and catch those fish too! Had a great time as always! Amazing food and service. Thanks
 
We thought the accommodations were fantastic. The staff was probably the best part. Dan the bartender was very entertaining. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The guides were very helpful. The 4 person fish houses with the fold out chairs are a little cramped. We liked the fish houses with the bench on both sides (more spacious). The food was great.
 
Everything was great, accommodations were good, fish houses were good, Jake and Cody did a great job checking on us out on the ice. Fish cleaning house was in good shape and warm. We are more than likely going to book the same week again next year but want to get final OK from everyone before we lock that down.

I checked in around 1130 on a Tuesday. Was very pleased that I was able to get into a fish house right away. The staff had no problem helping with my late arrival. The next day I took a fishing trip with a guide into Canada. I was a little anxious about the whole process but again, the staff was right there to point me in the right direction and gave me great instructions on how and where to meet the guide. As a matter of fact, one of the young guys hopped on a sled and took us out there. I was very happy with my short trip as it all fell into place easily. Clean rooms, comfortable bar and lounge to relax in! Definitely go back!
 
We arrived Thursday afternoon and had a good meal, the service was great, good bartender, we had good fishing both days and our iceman was great, we were on the meal plan and it was good food and plenty of it, prime rib was great, our server was excellent, I would recommend Sunset Lodge to anyone.

My favorite resort on Lake of the Woods. Accommodations are good. Personnel is friendly, helpful and caring. Lodge is inviting. Food is good. Bar is entertaining. I return to this resort year after year and never felt disappointed.

Very good place to stay and go fishing. Crappie fishing was excellent.
