We had a terrific time last weekend. Lots of fish, outstanding shore lunches, topped off with a big one as a bonus. 26 incher with Ray Omdahl as our guide. Excellent hospitality by the entire staff from the moment we arrived at the dock. We'll definitely be back. Thank you, Mike PS Ray's potatoes...Best ever.
 
Our stay at the island was great. The lodge is great and your staff is super.  As for the fishing, Bruce did a nice job putting us on fish and beat me out of fifty bucks by teaching one of our wives to bait her own hook😁 they both asked if we would consider coming back next summer.  Only change will be a longer stay. It was a great trip.  

After three plus years, we made it to the NW Angle and stayed at Sunset Lodge. A  boat ride to Oak Island and left our vehicle at Young's Bay  Resort. We fished 5 days and had a great time. First two  days, we had a guide and caught walleye, sauger and some  monster perch. The next two days, we fished on our own with  one being a half wash with some heavy rain. On Friday, we  went muskie....there were four of us and we are in no means  muskie guys, but saw so many pictures and heard of the big  ones being caught. We ventured out with a young man, a guide  for the NW Angle, Forrest Huset  this past Friday. Well, we  did not catch any, but we had 15 follows and several were  monsters. Forrest knows the spots ! We had a GREAT TIME and can not say enough about the staff! Everyone was so welcoming, helpful and attentive to any request. Very happy with our meals and the cabin was fine. A great area to fish and Sunset Lodge is a great place to  stay.
 
Stayed from August 7th-13th, have never been to LOTW before and will definitely be returning. Sunset Lodge is beautiful and the staff is great. Upon arrival, the dock helpers are waiting and unload all of your gear. The docks are nice and have electricity for all boats. The food is awesome and a fun atmosphere. We ended up eating more at the lodge because of how good the food was and how Dylan the bartender made it fun and enjoyable. Cabin A had a great lake-view and everything was clean and nice. Fishing was great with 13 muskies caught between our 2 boats. Thank you to Sunset staff for the unforgettable experience!
 
We have been fishing together for 8 years, mostly around the Twin Cities area. Our buddy won this trip from a Musky tournament down in the cities and he picked this resort! Luckily, he did cause it was a trip we will never forget! First trip we have all taken together, first time ever up to LOTW for all of us and will be an annual one from here on out!. Biggest fish was 43" Most fish were ranging from 36-43".
