“Travis, Sam, Dan and the rest of the crew at Sunset are fantastic top-notch! Always helpful and courteous and a bunch of fun to be around when we get back to camp!! Travis is always willing to lend a hand if you need anything from help fixing mechanical issues to telling you wherethe best bet will be to fish the next day! Sam is always great in and around the lodge and Dan Doocy is also great, always serving up tons of laughs in the restaurant bar!

I have also fished with Dan Schmidt (fishing guide) and I can’t say enough good things about his willingness over the years to share with us great spots to fish on the MN and Canadian side in the winter and summer months. I’ve also fished with Dan in Florida now that he spends most of his time now based in the Punta Gorda and Matlacha, Florida area. Recently, I took my family to Fort Myers and my two young daughters and my wife went out with Dan down there and we all had a blast catching snook, drum and snapper! The kids loved all the action and my wife and I caught our share as well! If you want a great guide experience in MN/Canada on Lake of the Woods or in Florida near Ft. Myers/Punta Gorda; call Dan Schmidt!!
