Just got home from my first trip up to the Angle and Sunset Lodge. I am hooked for life up there. The season was wrapping up, so they had fewer houses and guides as we were the last big day fishing walleye. But the enthusiasm, will to serve us, and fishing were first class. Our guide was the best ice guide I have had on lake of the woods and it was his first year guiding. He worked hard all day every day to make sure every detail was 100% perfect. We ate tons of fish, brought home a ton and the dining was marvelous for every meal. Cabins were all finished nicely and comfortable.
 
The trip was pretty good.  Two guys that had never been their before already want to go back.
 
The food was great, the app with the tator tots and cheese was awesome.
 
I absolutely LOVE your resort!  You have some of the best bar staff - Dan and Chelsey were a blast and were so accommodating! Your guides on the lake were so friendly and always willing to give advice! I wish I could make it to the resort more often as I would love to summer fish!  I've never been to Lake of the Woods in the summer. I am a Police Officer and know what public relations are and how important they are to a business!  You have a great staff and crew and they made my stay rock! The condo we had sufficed for two guys.  Fish houses were great - just wish we could bring out reclining chairs 😂😂😂 so my back wouldn't hurt so bad! Fishing was up and down with the last day being the best!  I just need to learn when the best fishing is and get there then 😬 Someday I'll move up there and work - because I love it there :) Thank you for a great business!
 
As always we had a great time up there. The staff and their service was awesome! Thanks for having such a great bunch of hard working kids. The food was the best its ever been. Those sandwiches and the fish they prepared were just amazing. Thanks again and see ya next year.

The accommodations were good.  It was really nice being right next to the lodge and even closer to the fish cleaning shack. The food and drinks at the lodge were good, too.  Really appreciated the time that Travis spent helping us to troubleshoot some ignition problems that we were having on our Ranger and Grizzly, ultimately to find out that the troubles could be attributed to the extreme cold/wind chill…him letting us pull our rig into the shop to warm it up to find that they would fire up after being warmed up was helpful to know what was causing our troubles! The fishing was ok, not as good as it’s been on past trips up to the Angle, but we were still able to scratch out our fill to be able to eat fish each night and bring fish home too.  I appreciate you working with me over the past few months lining this up to get my group in there as comfortably as possible. Thanks again!  Have a great spring/summer season too!!
 
Everything was real good. Wish we had done Ontario walleye day 1 but that’s fishing….Crappies was real fun. Thank you for the nice few days. Great staff! Will do it again.
 
We had a really good time both times we were up this year.  I will be looking to book again next winter once it gets a bit closer :)

Was great. Travis, and Samantha are outstanding...Tell them thank you for putting up with us....Food was excellent, and the condo was sweet except for all the snoring bears ...We will be back for years to come...

The trip was good.  Sam and the staff at the lodge were awesome!  Very friendly and helpful.  Food and service were very good. The head fishing guide was good.
