Thanks for a couple days of great fishing. We had a lot of fun and hope to do it again next winter!
 
Great location and accommodations. The fishing was good, the food exceeded my expectations, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. good memories and I am trying to figure out how to get back to do it again..
 
We had a great time!  We liked Cabin D and it fit our group of 4 well.  My two brother-in-laws had a great time and said they’d come back in a heartbeat.  Neither one had ice fished before and have done very little fishing to date.  I think it’s safe to say they’ve been converted!  They had a ball!  Part of me would like to rent a hard house from you guys next year so we get to experience more of your hospitality.  We’re so self-sufficient that we hardly came into contract with the staff.   We did eat at the lodge one night and the food was great and the service was good.  And of course any time we did stop in for bait, gas etc. Samantha and crew were friendly and quick to get us what we needed.  We’ll work on sending in some pics soon.
 
I would say that overall we had a great experience, everyone was very engaging and very welcoming to us which makes you feel more at home and that is important to know that we are not just a number to your staff. We only ate at the lodge once for dinner and the meal we had was very good for all of us, the girls in our group like to make their own meals which is fine for us guys. The fish houses that we used were great and number 1 was huge which is what the girls like and again that is important if we are to get them to come with us. Seeing we booked for cabin 8 next year hopefully we will have 2 more people coming with us seeing the cabin will accommodate more. The trip was wonderful :).  Fishing was so so, but we had a great time anyway. Condo room #5 was amazing! In fact, when we go back next year we will likely request the same place :). Staff: Wonderful and very accommodating. Food servers and fishing guides really seemed to go out of their way to make us happy.
Food: The food was good. For hungry men, it was very satisfying. However, a bit on the heavy side for women ;-) Fish houses: We loved that we were able to all fish together in the same fish house (2 couples). Everything was ready for us when we arrived each morning. See you next year!
 
It was good as always. We had a good time. Fishing was not so good first day and very good second day. Looks like a nice crew has formed at the Sunset - we knew already most folks up there. Samantha is doing excellent job managing this crew, everything is very organized - meals are quickly served, bombers leave at exactly appointed time and so forth. She is such a pleasant individual! You know, she even remembered to prepare two loafs of bread for us to bring home. How cool was that! Larry and Forest were very helpful. Other people were nice too....
 
The trip north was good. We've been to Sunset several times over the past few years....,..day trips north for lunch at your lodge.....we've just never stayed over. We picked Sunset for this trip because we've always been happy with your service, your lodge is classic, and the location is great. I am envious of what has to be great northern lights viewing. We'll be back now that we've got this one under our belt. Please thank Mitch for me for the tip on Gardiner, it was great. We visited with him at breakfast this morning. Thanks for you hospitality.
 
I will come again. I was impressed with the lodge, lounge, good food and reasonably priced beverages. Paying the bill was never easier. The guides were friendly and courteous and moved us when we weren’t catching fish. Thankfully, Sunset is one of the few lodges that cater to the solo fisherman w/o charging double. Thank you for a pleasant and enjoyable stay under difficult circumstances. The lake was a sloppy, thawing mess.  

 We had a Great Time. Samantha and Crew did a Knock Out Job with the accommodations. Food was Great and the guys that was running the fish house’s where doing a Wonderful Job on keeping us on fish. Looking forward on coming up next year.

Very good, we had a lot of fun. I like the new condo's, bar/restaurant very nice, above average. Chris is awesome chef, your meals are excellent (exceeded my expectations). Samantha does great job running the operation, it takes good leadership to run smooth. Mary has very nice disposition for wait staff. Dan is in the perfect role for bartender:-) Fish houses decent, like the fact the ice team checks in on you. Overall very positive experience, I would do it again and recommend others to do so.
